Members,

We are having a special Welcome meeting for the 97 new members of AFSCME Local 2401!  As you may know, we already have a small number of members at DACL (Department of Aging and Community Living), but over the last year or so we've been working hard to get the rest of the agency certified to become part of the AFSCME family.

For both our new and former DACL members, please join us this Thursday evening to get valuable information on your Union, what it can do for you, and what YOU can do to stay active and engaged with YOUR UNION!

Copy Zoom link below or go click HERE to attend.

Brothers, Sisters, and Union Family,

This Labor Day, we honor the generations of working people whose sacrifices built the rights and protections we hold today. Here in Washington, DC, AFSCME Local 2401 remains steadfast in fighting for fair wages, safe workplaces, dignity on the job, and respect for the vital services our members provide every day to the residents of this city.

As we celebrate, let us also recommit ourselves to solidarity—because together, we have the strength to meet any challenge and to win a more just future for all workers.

In unity,
Roger Scott
President, AFSCME Local 2401

2401 members and supporters,

Workers make DC run and we deserve better than mass firings, union busting, deportations, and occupation.

Workers across the DC region need to be in solidarity with one another now more than ever before. On Thursday, August 28, join us to kick off Labor Day 2025 and solidarity season with a rally and march.

We’ll come together to make it clear:  Workers make DC run!

We support federal and District workers

Union busting is disgusting

Workers over billionaires

#FreeDC

We know a working class united can never be defeated. We are organizing not just for one day, but to build labor power across the District, in every shop floor, school, restaurant, and municipal and federal building.

Let's show up in big numbers and show that Local 2401 is THE most militant local in DC!

Location/time is on the flyer below. Let us know you’re coming using the signup form HERE
